My name is Nathalie (née Smith) Vautour. I was born in 1972 and spent my first 20 years in St-Anselme. I am the third of four siblings, and my parents, Arthur and Simone (LeBlanc) Smith, both grew up on family farms in Memramcook. You might remember that my parents owned the “little store” by the school and Church in St. Anselme. My mother and father were both entrepreneurs and hardworking people, and they instilled those values in me. Their strong work ethic has shaped who I am today.

After high school, I went to the Université de Moncton, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts. I then started an 18-year career with NBTel, Aliant Telecom and Bell Aliant. I had a dream of having my own business and that dream became a reality in 2014 when we purchased a Budget Blinds franchise, which I successfully continue to own and operate. My husband Jeff still works at Bell Aliant and has been for over 25 years.

We have three girls: Emilie, Julie, and Valerie, who all reside at home with us in Dieppe. My interest in politics dates back to over 20 years ago. This interest was revisited when the message I kept hearing from my clients and my children was one of uncertainty, fear and division. My work ethic which has resulted in a successful work career, my love of all people and my motivation for change is what fuels my passion to represent the people of Beauséjour.
